Christian brings a distinctive combination of legal training, investment expertise, and operational leadership to his role as Operating Partner. He studied law at the Universities of Passau, Lausanne, and Berlin before beginning his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in 1999, working in the M&A and Corporate Finance teams in New York and London.
In 2002, Christian joined Fortress Investment Group in London and was instrumental in launching its German operations in Frankfurt in 2004. At Fortress, he sourced, executed, and managed a broad range of investments, raising over €1.5 billion in equity. His work covered non-and performing assets, public-to-private transactions, IPOs, real estate acquisitions, and complex capital structure solutions. By 2009, Fortress had deployed close to €10 billion in capital in Germany, with Christian playing a key leadership role throughout.
He later joined EQT Group, where he focused on growth and succession investments in medium-sized companies through EQT’s mid-market fund. There, he led the consolidation of nine independent digital marketing agencies into a €100 million market leader, building one of the most comprehensive digital marketing platforms in Germany at that time. During this time, Christian worked very closely with Chris Puscasiu building EQT’s mid-market Munich office.
In 2012, Christian transitioned from investor to operator by acquiring a premium motorcycle accessories business in a succession situation. As CEO, he expanded the company into 10 international markets—including Japan and China—enhanced R&D capabilities, and optimized operations. Over nearly a decade, he scaled the business significantly before exiting. During this period, he also co-founded a tech start-up leveraging IoT, global connectivity, and social trends to improve emergency response and asset recovery for motorcycles and its riders.
Today, Christian is the majority owner of two industrial companies in Germany, operating in the fields of industrial services and precision tube manufacturing. As Chairman of the Board, he works very closely with management to drive strategic development and operational excellence.
Christian’s experience spans the full corporate lifecycle—from institutional investor, advisor, and board member to founder and owner-operator. He is passionate about partnering with management teams to accelerate growth, improve performance, and build lasting value.
He lives in Germany with his wife and their four daughters.
